Fans and supporters of Rose McGowan were furious on Thursday when her Twitter account was "locked" for what the social media platform called a violation of rules. Twitter explained in a statement that McGowan posted a phone number - it is unclear who it belonged to - and so she was punished.McGowan, who has been thrust into the middle of the Harvey Weinstein firestorm, did not buy the Twitter's explanation and others who have asserted the actress' account was locked for speaking out against powerful male actors, such as Ben Affleck.
